The MBA in Marketing is a specialized graduate degree program that focuses on preparing individuals for leadership roles in marketing and related fields. The program entails:

Core Business Foundation: Similar to other MBA programs, the curriculum includes core business courses such as finance, accounting, operations management, strategic management, and organizational behavior. These courses provide a solid foundation in business principles and their application in marketing contexts.

Marketing Principles and Strategies: The program covers fundamental marketing concepts, theories, and frameworks. Students learn about market research, consumer behavior, segmentation, targeting, positioning, product development, pricing strategies, distribution channels, and marketing communications.

Market Research and Analytics: Emphasis is placed on market research methodologies, data collection techniques, data analysis, and interpretation. Students learn how to conduct market research studies, gather insights, and use data to inform marketing strategies and decision-making.

Brand Management and Strategy: Courses focus on brand development, brand positioning, brand equity, and brand management strategies. Students learn how to create and manage strong brands that resonate with consumers and differentiate products and services in the marketplace.

Digital Marketing and Social Media: With the increasing importance of digital channels in marketing, the program addresses digital marketing strategies, social media marketing, content marketing, search engine optimization (SEO), pay-per-click (PPC) advertising, email marketing, and analytics.

Marketing Communications: The program covers integrated marketing communications (IMC) strategies, advertising principles, public relations, sales promotion, and marketing campaigns. Students learn how to develop and execute effective communication strategies to reach target audiences and achieve marketing objectives.

Customer Relationship Management (CRM): Emphasis is placed on building and managing customer relationships through CRM strategies, customer loyalty programs, customer experience management, and relationship marketing. Students learn how to cultivate long-term relationships with customers and enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Admission Requirements:

Candidates for admission into the MBA programme must satisfy the following requirements:

  • A good first degree (at least Second Class Lower) in Commerce, Marketing, Procurement, Accounting, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or any other related degree from a recognised University.
  • A good first degree in an area unrelated to business studies from a recognised university with at least 2 years of working experience in a business
  • Candidates shall be interviewed or be required to take an entrance examination.
  • Foreign applicants will be assessed based on GTEC’s evaluation of their qualifications.
