MPhil Management Information Systems
The Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degree programme in Information Systems (IS) is a research-oriented degree that prepares students for a research and teaching career in universities, research institutions, and governmental or business organisations. The course takes a technology management approach and focuses on a behavioural study of how information technology is managed, designed, and used and how it affects people, businesses, and societies on a socioeconomic level. , students planning to pursue a PhD in information systems at the UDS School of Business should consider enrolling in the MPhil (IS) programme. The MPhil is a 2-year regular programme.
Admission Requirements:
Candidates for admission into the MPhil programme must satisfy the following requirements:
- A good first degree (at least Second Class Lower) in Commerce, Marketing, Procurement, Accounting, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or any other related degree from a recognised University.
- A good first degree in an area not related to business studies from a recognised university with at least 2 years of working experience in a business
- Candidate shall be interviewed or be required to take an entrance examination.
- Foreign applicants will be assessed based on GTEC’s evaluation of their qualifications.
